She mentioned in her profile to be prepared to read your work as well. I enjoyed the honesty and serenity in your free verse. (I think the apostrophe in "It's" dropped off in the first line.) I also especially liked your use of the alliteration of "s's." -Joan

Great poem. One of my prized possessions is my deep bass voice. At the tender age of fourteen my voice changed suddenly and dramatically. Since that time I have had 'The Voice'. I am also a pretty good reader and people always tell me that I should be an on air personality, but I always defer. Your poem reminds me of these conversations and it makes me smile.

A creative and original poem. Beautiful presentation. A fascinating other world ring to your poem. Almost as though you are describing God. the poem can be read at a number levels and leaves much to ponder. Carefully selected phrasing and powerful ending . Well done. A pleasure to read.
Warm regards - :) Lovinia xoxo

I loved reading your poem. To me it is spiritual, meaningful, inspiring and enlightening. I especially love your last stanza.

I love this most

My song of virtue
the voice of reason

Hi

Men are always in search of reasons women are always in search of their feelings. This is not true in all cases but as a generalization it holds water. It is also the reason the genders feel as one.

You've done a great job here describing what must be a wonderful voice and the fact that it takes you to another place. How lovely and soothing. Jennie

Well you do have your fathers talent for writing! This is so well written, not rocky at all. I love the line,
Rocks me slow to sleep while he tells me a story...' That is so nice. I hope we hear more from you in the future! xsx

Good free verse, keimosobia. I can't help wonder who this voice is "the voice calling in the darkness My song of virtue the voice of reason. I enjoyed reading this. It reminded me of my childhood. I would be in bed and would listen to voices of adults talking.

Very nice. One of the best I've read today on this day of FS plenty. A nice poem that speaks of friendship and the love there. Good stuff.
