It wouldn't let me give you six stars my friend. This was poetry at its finest. The images were imaginative and creative in their approach, although there was much pain in the telling.
The last part of your assignment, about ending with an epiphany, was so well done.
"revealing dawn of gentle softness. As new day, a second chance. Life forever changed"
I could quote from this forever; this was SO well written!

Really well done Debbie. First, I appreciated your notes because I'm not really familiar with this form. I like how it does have that poetic feel and yet without having to worry so much about syllable counts, meters, etc.. you're able to tell your story in a more detail way than in other forms of poetry. Your imagery is so creative and I like your metaphor when you say 'developing tentacles.' I automatically pictured an octopus moving it's tentacles all around trying to grab a hold of whatever's in its reach, the same way the accident grabbed a hold of you and changed your life forever. You also did a great job in describing your reactions to this horrible time of your life; going from the negative and gradually finding the positive side of it. Very impressive and it proves what an incredibly strong woman you are! Long story short, 'cuz I'm rambling too much, I really think you deserve 6 stars and more! xxxx deb
