This was a very sad and moving triolet, ...amongst the shadows of my hear...dwelling in the time that doesn't end... how sad. And that artwork with the flowers and the heart shaped lock, ouch... good luck with this one. I really think it's good.

This is beautiful and sad. The poem aptly conveys the emotions of grief and loss. Its tone is sad but not overly depressing and imagery adds to the feeling. The picture is a nice touch lending the softness of its color to the poem's mood and the imagery of the lock (locked and unopened) and key to the theme of loss. It is simply beautiful.

I hope to if the budget allows. And you are most welcome. I have read many of your posts and have enjoyed them immensely. I've only just begun to make comments here, a process which I still find intimidating.

No worries. Every writer has to have a wide audience, so everyone's response is important.

A touching poem on the loss of a loved one. I love the imagery of the heart casting shadows, as if it could literally do that down deep in us. But it's symolism here is great.

Ooh! This is Beautiful. Perfect Triolet form. The grief, the longing comes through the words clearly. I find this form challenging, (but not as challenging as haiku!) and in my humble opinion you've written a gorgeous poem.

Yes, I know. I teach haiku here on this site, and it is much harder than triolets, which I occasionally teach. Thanks for a great review.

This is a stunning poem, Alvin ... it absolutely took my breath away. The emotions were felt deep within my heart. I'm so thrilled you took some time off to write...what a magnificent result. I've read it twenty times and each time it still strikes a chord within me.
Outstanding, poet!

Thanks, Karyn. It's been so long since I had the time to concentrate to write. It's amazing how much teaching consumes me, but the results have been specatular in what my students have accomplished. Now I am being a little self-indulgent and liking it. I have missed writing. Thanks for this extraordinary review.

Such a deeply moving poem. A definite sadness deep within, that it seems you will keep carrying with you. Good rhyming and I like the lines that repeat. Your picture goes well with the heart and key. Good luck! Alex :)

I've misse you Al! Just yesterday and today I posted two haiku and thought of you because it is not my usual genre by any means. I do think you'd like my recent piece called "Fast Prayers" Take care!

I am not at all familiar with triolets, but this is beautifully written. Sad. I like the willows and the shadows and I love the repeating line. Very well written. Good luck in your contest!! Dana

A very pensive triolet, its repeating lines adapt very well to the force of the thought, the phrase "you dwell in time that does not end" is haunting. It connects to the heart of the reader.
