Humpster-
Yer goldarned ticknology spammed all over my dadgummed winder screen agin.
I love it when that happens. If you had seen that last piece of trash splattered across my screen you'd be proud of yerself indeed for rescuing me from the crud that had been seeping out from my keyboard. (I've gotta find out where that's coming from and stop up that leak.)
Anyway, this was a fun read, nuthin' to change, incestual or not. I'm still chuckling.

Hi, Lee. LOL...LOL...LOL..this is great stuff, my friend. Your dry humor and clever twists and originality, make the reader eager for more everytime. I have been away for awhile (health issues) but will try to stay tuned more often now that I'm back. LMAO

I would suggest one small thing if I may: Use a different word here besides "daunted" as you used it in the prior sentence.

"Okay, now I was daunted."

Great write, Lee...wish I had a six left...Bob

I absoutely love reading your works. Thanks. I seem to be in the same generation as you and I find it easy to identify with what you write about, not to mention it is such an enjoyable read.

Thank you so much, mcorbinrn. How I envy the kids who grew up with these contraptions. Thank you so much for all the stars.

Lee, very funny journey towards the light...of the computer age. I was impressed by how much punishment a lap top can take! Excellent use of colloquial speech in this entertaining romp. I love Spam--Me and the Mrs. go out for a Spam dinner on special occasions (some times we even dress up, right proper like). Blessings, Hector

At home I use a Dell PC, at school I am forced to use a Mac laptop, which I totally hate. Yesterday it cause me so many problems that I finally wrote it up on a behavior referral and sent it the office. My first graders laughed.
I enjoyed your essay.

Thank you, Barbara. When I was in the ad biz, we all used Macs. Switching to a PC was a little trying. I'm glad you enjoyed. Peace, Lee

Didn't notice any unitestinal errors, but I laughed my guts out. LOL You might not believe it, but I make my living writing books describing how to create computer software. In spite of that fact and being fairly tech-savvy, I share your ambivalent feelings about computers. Entertaining read!

Thank you, Semchuva. Writing software books for a living, it must be fun to exercise the other side of brain here on FS. Thanks for not making fun of me. Peace, Lee

Thanks, Lee. That was great. I've just finished coughing like I smoke a pack a day, and my mascara has run. I look like a bloody raccoon. If the man of my dreams comes to the door in the next few minutes, and cringes in fear upon seeing me, you'll be hearing from my lawyer.

Hilarious, my friend. You nut. I LAPPED it up. (sorry)

Er, I can say kielbasa too. I just think Big Ukrainian Sausage sounds better.

Big Ukrainian Sausage? Except for the Big and Ukrainian part, aren't you getting a little personal? Thank you, Av. I'm delighted to have given you a chuckle or two. Thanks again. Peace, Lee

Lol, I am right there with you. Although I did learn how to type on a selectra oh so many years ago. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I realized how easily my mistakes could be changed with a word processor! I am an anti-geek, also. I don't text, surf the web or the ocean. I felt like an astronaut traveling to an unknown planet when I had to purchase a new laptop. They salesman was quite patient explaining all about biting rams to me, lol. Linda

Selectra? That the stuff I put in my coffee? Thank you, Linda, I'm glad you can empathize. Biting rams---I like that! Peace, Lee

ticknology and pissology - yep, those are my terms LOL
Nope, I'm sitting right there beside you, Lee :-)
I must admit I finally got rid of the rotary dial, but I have never owned a cell phone.
Laughing my head off at the Jimmy Dean joke - even I know what it means to share a link. LOL
Did I ever tell you I have his autograph on a program from his summer stock performance in Destry Rides Again? LOL
I'm guffawing at your discovery that laptops open. LOL
Lee, I want you to listen to this and listen carefully - I do NOT want to hear about your testicles unless you intend to propose to me :-)
You just make me laugh and laugh :-) Brooke

Oh, Brooke, you have to admit that testicles are pretty funny...appendages, and in my case, almost as obsolete as a rotary phone. (don't bet on it)

Gee, Brooke, you never told me you have Jimmy Dean's autograph---holding out on me, huh?

I'm delighted you are amused by my antics.

So, how's about a June wedding?

    Thank you, Brooke.

    Peace and the choir, Lee

The hardest part of the laptop is the cursor. Once you master that #$@@%&*())_ thing, you are on your way to be computer literate. I can't use Computer for Dummies and I haven't found the one for Morons. Very well written

Thank you, Charlie. Isn't it ironic that the call it a 'cursor'---the ratsafratzarating Curser! Most of those Morons out in Utah are pretty good with computers. Thanks, friend. Peace, Lee

You're welcome, Lee. I think they put time bombs in them to make them crash. Charlie
