I like tis story.and the people in it. The pace is acceptable and enjoyable with proper conversation and attention paid to the young child MIchael. Keep this going and let us all enjoy the growing affection between Anna and Troy. WEll done. James McCorkle.

Another excellent post. you continue to show the long healing process to overcome past esteem-destroying abuse.
That loud muffler again. Now I think it has been heard too many times, without even a cursory look at the offending vehicle. Anna's and Troy's eyes would be drawn toward such a loud vehicle, especially since it has already created concern.
Ah, a kiss? Perhaps Anna is healing faster than I realized.

Troy hung the painting --- When you hang a painting, isn't there a bunch of "Is that okay?" "No, a little to the right or the left or up or down." "Is it straight?" I've never seen anything get hung so easily.
Something just occurred to me. Michael was only seven months old when this story started, so Anna wasn't married to bobby all that long. Some months have gone by since, so shouldn't she be gaining her strength back a little quicker than this? Was she a wimp before? Did her dad beat her?

Anna's abuse was very serve and her father didn't beat her, but was extremely controlling. Thank you for the kind review.
