What a great read. I have many friends who have met their partners on dating sites. Some have horror stories, others have gotten married and have lived happily ever after, so far. I met my wife on a blind date 28 years ago. We've done pretty well, so far...but we'll see. haha. Thanks for the story. :)

Another author suggested I check out your writing and I am glad I did,"gottagetlaid.com" just that one word made me laugh, hilarious. tell me what the finger tapper is please? not that I am one, just never heard that before. have to say I really enjoyed your piece.

A finger tapper is a word I use to describe someone who only barely touches your fingertips when shaking hands. Hope that makes some sense. I agree I met my husband because he was my neighbor and we had known each other for 10 years. Your story is believable and has very good advice for those going to the dating services to find their mate. I would recommend this to others. Blessings Rita

A lot of information and advice here. I am not way older than you but I am older, I am a male and I am Happily married. The thought of dating now days would make me crazy. Like you I would have to see and talk in person, eyes do talk real loud. One of my boys did meet a girl and has been with her for over a year--not for me
