I have to go along with everything you've said about the so-called dating services. They all look a little to phony to be true. Like you, I'm thankfu, that my husband and I met and dated in the old-fashioned way. I enjoyed reading your well written essay.

I only joined a couple of weeks ago but this submission, hands down, is the best one I have read. It flows, kept my attention, made me laugh and best of all, sent me to my dictionary to see what the word 'parity' means. Punctuation errors, misspelled or missing words and sentence structure slaughter make me crazy. They usually pull me away from the story. You had none. This is awesome. And I agree with you. Love the title.

I love it! Myself as well has pondered the same ads you mentioned, and the way our younger generation chooses to 'date'. I'm just thankful that I, too meet my husband the old-fashioned way, and that I don't have to jump in the date tank. Well written and so enjoyable!

That gave me a good chuckle! You're are so right in many aspects.. What the heck are these Hollywood people doing on a dating site?? Lol!
The only thing I disagree with is the being picked up for the first date.. Only because online you don't even physically see these people until the first date.. For all you know he's a crazy man! And you need your own transportation (In my opinion).
