You've woven a magical tale of a bluebird. The first stanza had me laughing at the bed pan and the bird pecking a Fred's head. Great imagination. Loved it! Les

Beautiful poem. It touches me, and makes me glad that the old folks in this home have a friend from God to sing to them and bring them joy each day. Nice work

Nursing homes have many blue residents, not all of them are birds.
Anyway prefectly readable poem, carry on writing :)

This was a nice poem although I am only 42 I take comfort in knowing that such a thing could happen at a place that seems like the end of the road. I make me feel happy!

What a fun poem! That blue bird sure is a quirky fella. The humor here is great. From landing in a bed pan to deciding to stay for the food you kept the tone really light.
The little aside about fred s head has me torn. It's such a great moment but if it never comes back it seems wasted . Maybe just one more line "except Fred he hates that bird " Great work though.

Very charming. Beautiful imagery and a lovely story. I love the comedy of the bird pecking at Fred's head, particularly as it contrasts with the sweet ending.
Bravo!

What a lovely poem! I don't know if it's fiction or non-fiction, but it's a great story. I love the image of the bird landing in the bedpan...and then pecking at Fred's head. I wonder if you meant to have a space after 'to stay.' The lines seem sort of 'squooshed' at the end. Excellent work!

By the end of the first stanza I'm already laughing at the aburdity of a blue bird in a nursing home bedpan LOL
What a lovely story of how the staff and residents welcome this bluebird and enjoy her joyful music :-) Brooke
