This is a wonderful story about a loving dad and daughter and the significance of dimes in the lives of both. And I firmly believe that your dad is hanging around, watching over you and your family. The "found" dimes are his way of communicating with you. And I'll bet if you listen with your heart, yu'll hear him laughing. I enjoyed this story very much. One typo: Second paragraph change "was" to "were" "my son James and his new girlfriend were also home" - Have a great christmans.

Wow! thank you so much for the six stars. I am glad you liked my story. I haven't thought to check the dates...but I will. I found a dime on my table where I eat every day on Christmas eve day and again on Christmas Day. My husband "swears" he didn't put them there. I just said, "hello, Daddy", and put them in my special box. It was a nice surprise since I was missing him so much.

I loved your reason for writing it and your dad sounded like a fine man, and the love you felt for him is obvious. The finding of the dimes I can relate to...so profound.
My son died some years ago. The preacher gave some story about dimes...I no longer recall it. He then took two dimes out of his pocket and gave one to me and one to my husband, and continued with the stupid story that I was hardly in the mood to hear.
The next day it was as though dimes were falling out of the sky. I too, began finding and seeing dimes is the strangest of places, as did my husband and my sister. They are beginning to fade away now, however.
I do suspect that now they will start falling out tof the sky again, since reading your loving story.
Thanks for this wonder.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of your son...but glad that God allowed you to have a blessing from him. I am glad you liked my story. If I get both books published and earn several million dollars, I'll consider it to be a decent year. Just kidding. At my age, I'm not that material anymore, because if I can't take it with me, I don't want anyone else messing with it!

Such a beautiful tribute from "Daddy's Little Girl." An enjoyable read from start to finish. I have so many things that I remember now about Pop that didn't always stand out to me when he was alive. Now every little thing is remembered with a smile. My Brother comes in tomorrow for a few days, our first Christmas without him. My younger brother and his wife came up at Thanksgiving as I think that really, he could not bear the thought of coming at Christmas. The Christmas that I describe in my story happened two years back. I am sure that I will replay that wonderful get-together many times.
