I love the letter. I spent 30 years with a man. I know of what you are talking about. His crooked smile turned me on to him. He looked more handsome every year. We finished each others sentences. We were two hearts blended into one,. Like you speak of. Great work.

Thank you Razz for your kind comments on my letter to my husband. I gave it to him for his 69th birthday on the 13th and he loved it. It was my true feelings and I am so thankful to God for him. I am glad you liked it, too. Blessings to you.

Oh, this made me cry. It was such a touching tribute to a loved one, such expressive testimony of love which has no equal. You have a great narrative ability - I love how you describe your first date, and your attention to detail is stunning.
This was very impressive:
"I never could have resisted your sun bleached hair with those long red sideburns. You smelled like sweet lemon and sunshine. Your arms were strong and you could dance."
Or these (it gave me goosebumps):
"Your hair isn't sun bleached blond anymore and the sideburns are gone. The gray shines brightly instead of the red...."We don't go dancing like we used to. Now, we sit and watch "Dancing with the Stars."
Reading this would convince anyone that true love exists!

Lovely homage to your man. This is a good short read. You take the reader along nicely as we learn about this man that has made you happy. It is nice to hear of a happy marriage. you are blessed indeed when so many are going on the rocks. Nice informative tale of wedded bliss.

I like the way you start by mentioning looking at the picture and then drifting back in your memory, much like many people do.
