Thanks, I have read some of the other chapters. You are leading those that have been abused to a better place. Your work is actually a "support group" of sort. Readers and those that have been or being abused can feel a part of Anna's world and go through the healing with her. Thanks for sharing, I've enjoyed reading your work.

It's probably a darn good idea to belong to one of those support groups when you've been banged about by some asshole. It must be really hard on your self-esteem. I've met women who defend their abusive partners like they were heros. All part of the pattern,I guess.

Anna is a special situation. Most women return to their abusers, but they don't have the support Anna has. I appreciate your kind review.

Aw, he IS a nice guy! This is a moving chapter. Very tender --vulnerable, sweet and real. Easy to read with excellent dialog and good use of action tags to bring things to life.
A few spag suggestions-
*Anna released a deep breath,(not sure about this comma--think you do not need it) before she and Troy entered the red-brick building.
*Inside(I do think a comma here would be effective) Troy led her up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway.
*Troy checked the number on an open door,(this comma is not required before he stopped.
Sorry I missed so many chapters!~ :)

every mother's joy... it's not easy getting everyone
under one roof.
This chapter was emotional and touching.
When I was alone (with my 3 little lads)
the one-parent family group ran a shelter
for battered wives... even the decoration
of .. and it was always well attended... even
by battered husbands. Such a help and comfort
when on your own with your fears.
