Like this poem. ancesters' should be ancestors' Maybe ancestoral home would work better. Artwork would have been nice. We are so spoiled with pictures. Blame tv. "that time for the dance"...wondering if "time for a dance" would sound better. I wanted to know what color the ostrich is...if I pretended I had never seen an ostrich. How big is "giant"? Compared to ???

I love this. Shows ingenuity. But it makes me sad feeling the ostrich, a symbol of freedom, is now caged. How many meanings can be packed into that! Favorite line: preens around as if Broadway will call. Nice touch at the end with connecting her to a universal theme.
