Sometimes God chooses you, you didn't choose him. I am glad you answered his call. So many 15 year olds wouldn't have. You probably would have had a few rough years until you could have chosen him Good WOrk.

What a lovely tribute to the time you found God. Your imagery is powerful and clear. And your end verse speaking of his death in mankind's behalf is very appropriate. Best of luck in the contest.

;Great picture of someone being called by God to receive Him in their life but being afraid to go forth.
I was 8 years old when I went up. Best thing in my life.
I did get away from it for a while in my teens and early 20's but once I came back to Him I don't ever want to let go.

Thank you Mary Jane for reviewing my poem. Yes, I slipped back a few times in my 20's but Father God never let me go. When I say in the poem the decision to follow HIM meant my survival that is a very true statement. When I look back when I was away from Him...it had to be only through His protection that I'm alive today.
