This is a such a great poem. Very thoughtful and meaningful. I loved it. What I really like is the tone you used, and that it had a very unique voice. I liked the last stanza the best.

Well constructed with a depth of feeling that reaches out and captures the reader in its repeating hypnotic pull.

That was the poem of a good poet.
Although new here can see the frustrations you mentioned.
My work is hardly great but, as a new writer at a late stage, loving learning by doing. There are a number of truly gifted writers on this site. Anyway, one good piece of work a day to enjoy, does it for me. After this one of yours, I'm in bonus territory! With love H x
