Have never heard of this movie. But the title suits your story very well. This is exactly what cats do- old or young.
Pity he did not catch the mice this time after such a great effort. But he decides when enough is enough for the day and tomorrow there will be another day.
So well written and very realistic.

Hello Realist. A great storyline that kept me interested all the way. The portrayal of the traditional 'Cat and Mouse' is very well done. No editing necessary that I noticed.

Very cute little story! Love how you've built up this perfect image of the stand off and the mice all conferring with one another. I can't help but feel the children sledding don't add to the story though, I can't see their reason for being there. Maybe it's just me but it through me off a bit and I had to read back through and see if I'd missed anything LOL :)
Cool (literally!) story of a moment in time between kitty and mouse :)
