I like this poem. Big foot and the canary. We could probably meet big foot is we were as nice as the canary. Ancient meets modern times. In love it. Great work.

You may have had a rough day at work, but you are a songbird with your lovely words. I could see and hear the songbird and the primate. Rough days become you. Ginger

i love this poem! what a imaginative delightful picture...a canary singing to the shy ape, and the hypnotic effect on the beast, like he's come to feel belonging, experience beauty...human-like in his demeanor.
love this: "and his eyes soften his face less hard his soul quiet"
beautiful poem.

It is wise to remain hidden from a stronger foe. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for an easy read. There is very good imagery.

Big foot is real to those with imaginary zeal. This was a well written and conceived piece of poetic art. It was just a joy to have read and written this response for... John

I hope, if there is a Bigfoot around here, that it finds a canary to soothe its nature! Cute idea and a cute poem. I enjoyed reading it.

well a day starts with a roar and is suppose to end with softness...same way the bigfoot and the melody of the canary express whims. it sure expresses your ideas in perfect flow and meter. your rhyme is great and so are the chosen words.

what a fanciful scene to imagine - the meeting of a songbird with a bigfoot
Lovely use of alliteration
I really like the characterization of this legendary being as a sensitive, gentle giant :-) Brooke
