Debbie, it seems we're all a family here, complete with quirky cousins (I'll admit to being one of those). I have a little while to go to make my first anniversary (Thanksgiving), but I never would have gotten this far without great people like you to learn from. And I hope to learn so much more. Hard to believe I've been on FS for a year and a half. This community came through for me in a big way in the beginning and now I see people as good friends. There is a sense of camaraderie. Congratulations on your year of membership and here's to many more!

I share your views my friend. I have been writing poems since I was a child. I tried several times to write a novel, unsuccessfully, I might add. No one not even my husband of eleven years knew I wrote poems. I was so insecure. Then I too stumbled on to this site and was amazed, that anyone would like anything I wrote. This site is an answer to my prayer.

I enjoyed your festive piece and I'm glad your anniversary with Fanstory is coming up. The art work is amazing you used. I've been on Fanstory since Feb. 2005, but I used to sign on once a month, until five years ago while recuperating form my third serious brush with death this has been my Godsend and helps me deal with my constant physical pain. It true what you say writing is "therapeutic." Congratulations and I wish you continued success on your writing endeavors. Please have a blessed 365 more days.

This is a nicely expressed little sentiment, but it really should be a forum post as opposed to a regular posting that is asking to be rated. Comments only would have been preferable. There is really nothing to rate here, other than your enthusiasm for Fanstory in general.
