Hi, this is really fun. She is one adventurous little lady, quite a handful, right? Luckily none of yours (and mine) is that much! A delightful poem.

Ha! You've given something away there - you are the only one who assumed the culprit was a girl!
    Thanks for the review.

Some really great laughs (and memories)...really enjoyed the revisit of childhood, where imagination was such a big playground. Had moments where your writing was reminiscent of AA Milne, one of my favourite authors since I was 6...thank you for that...

    Maybe you took his advice
I think I'll stay six now for ever and ever...

    Thanks for the review.

If I had six stars to award, I would award them. This was very funny! lol The picture you chose was great. Good luck in the contest.

Author,

How cute a tale you have written. I admire the uniqueness of this piece. A child's view of his world when he gets into trouble is much different than a parents' view. Good job here. Made me giggle all the way through.

This is absolutely wonderful! One of the best "through the eyes of a child" pieces I've ever read - not one ounce of embarrassment or remorse anywhere. The little guy's innocence is nearly overwhelming. Why don't I have any sixes when I really need them? :) Nancy

    Thanks, Nancy.
Second piece this week where I've scored through a little kid's view of the world - what does that tell you?

Well, I know you're not a little kid (you spell too well), so I guess you're either very observant, or spend way too much time with rug rats. (As observed by the mother of three, grandmother of two.) :D Nancy

You missed option 3 I am a child at heart and maybe option 4 I am very childish!

A funny little poem that rings of things that could have been done. I enjoyed the story and how it flowed. I 'almost' never read it!

I dont think there was enough of what you should have done. It is too much of what you almost did. But your poem was quite nicely done.

    Thanks for the review, Denise.
I admit I twisted the prompt a little for humorous effect, but I don't think you have it right either. The prompt was The Life he Almost Lived so not about what he SHOULD have done...

Well this does sound A LOT Like my second child! My boy! He is a mess, still at

23. Your poem has good rhyme and cadence. But mostly it just makes me smile!

You mean he still puts his underpants on inside out at 23!?
Thanks for the review and the smile

This is so cute; I really enjoyed reading this piece and the artwork is really great. I can relate as I am sure many parents can to most of the "I almost" events. The "My underpants were inside-out, my shirt was back to front" is really funny at I remember when the toddler no longer wanted help getting dressed. This would make a great little illustrated book for children.

    Thank you, Mal
I seem to be on a hot streak writing from the POV of young kids... What does that tell you.
