This is absolutely darling and quite clever. I can appreciate why this one is such a winner of so many awards. It is worthy of the sixers it has received so I thought it would be okay with you if I kept mine for later and shortchanged you with a five. I really, really enjoyed your poem and the misadventures of this little terror - adorable as she is. janbar

    Thank you.
I seem to be on a hot streak lately writing winning poems from a young child's perspective. It has me baffled, but my wife says she understands perfectly...

Very cute and entertaining piece that captures the spirit of rambunctious children quite nicely. My favorite bit was almost being superman. Fun read. Kathy

That is hilarious. Every mommy can relate to this. My daughter always said her kids threw up on the kitchen floor every time she scrubbed it. That's what makes parenthood such a challenge. No one said it was easy. I like your last line. My daughter always said she was adopted because a real dad would not treat her like he did. He was an alcoholic. So the things you write about were disasters in my house because of the alcoholism, but I can see the humor in it all. I was the optimistic one and I still am. We can overcome our circumstances no matter what they are. thanks for making parenting more fun.

Superb! Loved it. The humor is nonstop. The way you use, "I almost" throughout is so like a child. This is great children's poem and I might say,"Entertaining as hell for adults!" I especially liked:
"I almost caught my Mom and Dad playing games in bed;
I really mustn't tell you all the horrid words they said."
Great job!
Les

OMG!! Too fantastic for words. Only a
brilliant mind could have written anything
like this.
I laughed so hard throughout the poem and
even loved the way it flowed. You had me
in a belly laugh and it felt so good to
get such a kick out of a poem like this.
Great write. Best to you always, Marie

Ha ha.. I loved this
whimsical write.. the
content such fun, the
flow to the words, and
to both rhythm and rhyme,
all excellent.

It's no wonder you won the contest.
Congratulations, my friend.

Absolutely delightful! So much humour in perfect rhythm and a child's world so beautifully portrayed. And the joys of parenthood so well summed up in Mommy's google search. Nothing to add in this poem, nothing you can take away. So good!

Adorable, hysterical, funny, clever, witty. And so expertly describing (certain) children. The wild-child is a tough one to raise but can be so entertaining. This is outstanding. Congratulations on your win!
