Beautiful picture that complements the poem well
Your poem is in excellent 5/7/5 form
I like the alliteration of winter wonderland/window
You create a concrete image well through suggestion and you create mood most effectively :-) Brooke

Those three lines are all you have to say, when your children have gone out to play.(from one mother to another) It fits the Haiku critera perfectly and paints a wonderful picture, the photo is nice too. Loved it!

Put together with the visual image, this is very powerful and sums up the word 'solitude completely. I can almost 'hear' the silence which comes with fallen snow! Well done!

Such a beautiful haiku!
the syllable count is spot-on,
imagery is wonderful
and the alliteration adds to the beauty.
All the best in the prompt.

I just want to tell I thought this was one of the best poems in the contest! You made me feel the cold and the isolation of being snowed inon a wi ter day. Your use of alliteration was perfect. I 'm glad it was recognized

Such beauty. The scenery from the window. However the weather, the impassable possibilities are so possible that solitude abounds consummates this haiku.

A writing prompt addressing the formal attire of white that will adorn our front steps soon.
Proper syllable count and a photogentic picture to boot.

You were fortunate to be able to view this beautiful vision for real and take the excellent photograph you've posted. Although 'winter wonderland' seems a little trite, I truly enjoyed reading your entry and Author Note.

What a beautiful vision of winter snow from your window! Yes it is solitude with no one outside and no creatures even stirring in the cold.
