I don't think about winning contests (I only enter the not blind ones, just as I only read books with authors names on them!) on the assumption that more folks will read my work, and I will improve my writing as a result of learning from their reviews. I still think you work will do very well in the contest and I found it hilarious. -Joan

LOL Great use of the long/short/long/short sentence lengths to give cadence to the rhyming lines. Great meter throughout and the story was very humorous. This should definitely be a contender. :)
