Awwww. Life in the 21st Century well described. Kosher and Palestinian cooking simply does not make a well received dish. Our day job surely messes with our writing, doesn't it?

What's funny about that is, they share similar recipes. Kosher is interesting as it is an amalgum of a displaced people, so what we consider kosher is the cooking that Jewish people adapted from Europe. I recently purchased Jewish cookbook, and actually found our families recipes from Czechlosvokia and Germany. I have those books as well, but what my grandparents ate was too low brow for them.

We will still babble with the Palestinian man in future chapters, as I learn to communicate my views in a language he understands. I guess this is the adult version of reexperiencing the kid exploring the local park. I thank you for your compliments and this review. Mike

In the case of this book, having to work like I do and not having the weekday blocks of time, turned this into a 1 year 8 month project. Yet it gave me a lot of thinking time, which really improved the writing and help solve some tough considerations and problems, plus to better sort out and organize the memories.

Perhaps God is teaching us what means the most to us in life. Maybe in time He will make provision so we have more time to write.

HI Mike, in the lines below you have two typos.

but I accepted this wel = well

I wanted love her...think you meant "to love her"

That being said I have to be honest with you. I think these chapters are way too long and I have to admit I skipped over some of the paragraphs about the cooking. Sorry. However, I really enjoyed reading about Robin and feel bad that it didn't go any farther than it did. Also I know she hurt you when she didn't have time to read your book after you worked so feverishly to finish it. All in all a good chapter...chey

I will make the corrections later this weekend when I have a bit of time. With such a big work, not all things will appeal to all people, and I never expected to have people request recipes from me. I always try to evaluate to eliminate various stories, but keep them in there if later down the line some facet of them are used or hold a point.

"After penning, "Joy -Just a Few Moments..." I put it down as one of the considerations was the length, just not comfortable with it, but inspiration comes in strange ways and it wasn't until I purchased Sara Plain's book, "Going Rouge." To be honest the first third of that was exceedingly long and a slow read. But reading her second third, I found my self going back to and enjoying the first. So I put it down and started writing and have yet to read the last third. Since I understand that, there is no need to apologize. LOL

I enjoyed this review and thank you for it, your input and the compliments. It isn't exactly over with Robin yet as she is absently responsible for me making the most critical turn in my life, both good and bad! Mike

Never a need to apologize I just wanted you to know my take...some would rate you for that but I never would. You put a lot of work into your book and should be awarded for that. I hope you and Robin can find a common ground and who knows it may turn out to be something wonderful for both of you..chey

I'm pretty callous to the ratings, just don't worry about them. Reviews are all important to me, but I don't get worked up over them. If I get a low one, I assign an importance, if I don't know them, I check them out, very often they are new here or are given in to ripping apart works for self-engrandizement. Sometimes I get severely downgraded for SGAG, but if they don't have examples, I generally don't worry about it.

What I like here is the shear variety in the reviews. Some are very technical, others purely on an emotional basis, and some actually laud a consideration that I had fears about. Most, even a negative are constructive. Guess you will have to read on to see the outcomes. LOLOLOL (evil inflection).

I have to agree. One must have a thick skin to put their work out there for everyone to see. I never know what to expect! chey

Very good but sad chapter. Too bad we sometimes only realize wwhat someone means to us, when we lose them.Rita never was right for him.Friends are usually the worse ones to 'fix' us up. Very well written.

This is a good story or chapter for the series. I however, have a few things to point out. There are several kinds of errors in this story. I recommend for you to do a proof read of this entire piece. It was not an easy read for me.

I have proofed this several times, but without specifics, most likely I won't understand what you mean. I freely admit that proofing is a totally separate talent from writing. I do thank you for this review and the compliments. Mike

This is an interesting read starting out with exotic foods, and then leading into interest with a lady, and then Robin. It was nice you straightened out the guys at work who ruined one relationship, so they could not ruin another. I was sorry
Robin's time card was not there at the end. I am so sorry it hit you so hard. I hope she calls.

I gave this a three star because I feel you need to add more details about the supporting characters in your story.
You could possibly make this three or more chapters. I would also like to read about other different aspects about religions. The cooking was very interesting but how do the different religions differ on dating, marriage, and etc.

I feel the biggest problem is that I have to split the sections to accomindate fanstory to begin with. This particular chapter segment is a bit of a transitory one, so a review such as this is not unexpected. I thank you for reviewing this. I understand the difficulties with they way that things have to be posted here. I do thank you for your input and reviewing this. Mike

Thank you very much for your compliments and this review, they are much appreciated. There are too many recipes to figure out which one you would want, but I recomend "What's Cooking Indian," by Shehzad Husain. I do recomend using more salt then she suggests. Other then that, there are other good Indian cookbooks and if you know what you want to try, the internet is a great source. Mike
