This was a very interesting Part One of Chapter 8 to read about Troy and Anna talking together at his parents' house. I liked how he encouraged her by telling her the story of the maiden and the flower.

This was a nice relaxed chapter and as always you did an excellent job. I liked the legend of the Indian blanket flower. I hadn't heard it before.

Thank you for the kind review. The first one was real, the second one Troy made up.

Hi, Barbara. I've enjoyed the Indian stories, and how the made-up one correlates closely to Anna. I bet the whole family follow the 'rules' you've shared with us in your author notes. This is a delight to read. (Enjoy your final summer vacation days ...)

Another great piece of work here.
Wonderful to see a budding Anna, asking her own inner questions.
Yes loved it like all the rest.
Loved your husbands talented artwork.
Thanks for sharing both.

Hi Barbara:)
Apparently the Indian Blankets aren't the only flowers blooming in this chapter. It's easy to see the growing attraction between Troy and Anna. The stories Troy told about the flowers were romantically perfect.

I have a question about the following dialog:

"No. One of the rules is I don't use the phone and I don't have a cellphone. My purse and briefcase are at the house. I don't have your number."
"I'll correct that." He removed a card from his wallet and handed it to her. "Anytime you need something call. I'm serious." {This dialog may need some work. Troy's number still won't do Anna any good because she still can't use the house phone or does she have a cell phone with her.}
Have a nice vacation. I'm sure you need it. I wish we could visit our four great grandchildren, but for now they live too far away.

Love and Irish hugs,

Roger

I will think about that dialogue. I wanted to remind readers about the phone and bring up that Anna doesn't have her purse. HUMMMM, thank you for the kind review.

Okay, I'm falling love with Troy, and I love the story about the Indian maiden, who was trying to find her strength. It's a perfect story for Anna.

Oh you tell such a beautiful story. I love the stories Troy tells Anna about the Indian baskets and flowers. That is such a tender moment. And I can see your husband's artwork on my wall. It's very beautiful. Here in Maryland, we have, every year, an event called ArtScape for undiscovered writers and artist.

Barbara,
Your newest chapter is beautifully written. I adore Troy and I could tell Anna is falling under his spell of kindness and sincerity. The art work of your hubby's is gorgeous. Brian is a cool name because it's close to Brandon-- my nephew-- who is 17 now and going to be a senior. He's planning to go to the university of UCO located here in Edmond, Oklahoma. We have two universities by the way. I digress to finish your review. I love the Indian maiden story Troy told Anna and he have her a flower-- be still my heart. I can understand her doubts. Troy threw a wrinkle in their sweet conversation when he checked with his mother about the pork chops. I guess a man and his stomach rule sometimes over flirting and love. I look forward to reading more. I enjoyed all your notes about abuse. Have a blessed day and tell Brian his art work is ten stars or A + work.
Love ya...Melissa.
Melissa.
