Hi barbara.wilkey

A very well written story which explores very well/openly your creative and involved protagonist/characters.

Having never experienced domestic violence, it seem inappropriate to comment further.

Regards, Pete

Bravo for this new chapter! Everything is going smoothly. I am happy to be solving the problems of Anna and she can make a life free of fear. I liked this, especially the kindness of friends of Anna. Congratulations, excellent job.

Is it true that an abuser would "back down" if stood up to? How many times have women told those kind of men that they were leaving only to be tracked down and, in some instances, killed?

I like this chapter because it "feels good" and hopefully all the bases have been covered.

I think it depends on the abuser. Thank you for the kind review.

It is good to see the tides beginning to turn in her favor. Anna has some good friends to help her out and assist her on her journey to a new life. Well written.

I continue to be impressed by the standard of your research into the background of cases like this and the legal intricacies. I liked the little injection of humour with Paul's reference to the donut and Troy's reply!
Anna is being swept away with the kindness of Paul,Betty and Margaret. It shows her a different type of life exists, where people genuinely care for one another, couples can joke together and men can babysit babies! xxmouse

Good continuing chapter, Barbara. I enjoyed reading it.
"I'll get some ice (iced) tea and cookies."
Betty passed out the glasses of ice (iced) tea and set the Paul stepped in to (into) the hall.

On the tea issue either is correct. I am trying to get an official ruling to settle the argument once and for all. Thank you for the kind review.

This chapter reads like real occurrences, Barbara. The reader doesn't despair at the abuse and divorce because you provide a brighter picture.
But you deal with the reality of cunning men and sly tactics.
I like your dialogue and describing of characters.
