I like that you show that Anna still doesn't have a lot of confidence. That doesn't come overnight. This scene where she had to take charge is very good.I hope you keep improving. God Bless.

Thanks for your author notes that are always so helpful. I loved this chapter; it seems that Anna is getting closer to being free for once. Great writing as always.

I'm so glad to hear that Anna is in excellent hands. Lots of action in this chapter. I think is a great idea to put those very informative author's notes in abuser's personality.

I can understand Anna's hesitation in signing the papers, thinking Bobby will beat her if he visits his son. But she needs to stand up for herself now that she realizes she has a support team on her side. With more encouragement, she will become very confident, and her self esteem will return. I like the way thins are turning out for her, and find this one of the most interesting chapters. I learn more about domestic violence each time I read. Michelle

Hi Barbara, excellent chapter. I'm glad Anna is on her road to freedom and that she has someone to validate her intelligence and worthiness. Once she is truly free of this animal she'll be happier than ever. Well done. Glad you to hear you've found a bit of pain relief.

Another excellent installment, Barbara.

I admit to laughing about your pain control advice: a variation of curing a headache by dropping a bowling ball on your toe. Effective, but not a permanent solution. What practical coping advice are you getting? "Live with it" is not practical advice. Nevertheless, I trust you've taken one more step toward recovery (you won't get me to stop using that word - contracting a second cold doesn't mean you weren't cured of the first one). Another excellent chapter. It sounds like Anna is making all the right moves right now. Hopefully it will be enough to keep Bobby away. Sometimes nothing is if the abuser is determined.

There really is a good flow from these stories, it just seems to describe the events into a complete smooth flow and understanding. Keep up the good work.
