Excellent poetry for fantasy poems. I could feel the mood of delicate joy. I especially liked picture that is perfect.
These metaphors my favorites:
tinkling voices
Naiads slide down rainbow beams
Dancing droplets sweetly shower ,
moonbeams glimmer

Thanks for your kind words. It is a bit of a struggle for an old greybeard like me to recall childish wonder...

    Thanks Barbara
Butterflies may be prettier, but bumblebees have more strike-power!

Well crafted quatrains and agile couplets, kiwi....!!
Even before the second stanza, I felt of Shakespeare's mischief makers, running around in the magic-wrapped lunar light and bieng good naughty!
Light and lively, teasing midnight imagination with all the silvery creatures and giddy humans!
Thanks for widening our horizon with a stellar walk across the glittered park, kiwi s!

So glad I had a six available for this one, Steve. It reads like one of Eugene Field's fantasy romps. The meter is flawless and every rhyme fits perfectly. I've never seen this kind of poem (including E.F.'s) rendered any better.

    High praise! Thank you.
I have to confess I had to google Eugene Field - he has an unusual style - I shall delve further - still on wynken, Blynken and Nod at the moment!
    Thanks again

Hi kiwisteveh,

Your poem took me on a magical journey as your wonderful descriptions made it all come alive. Excellent writing, strong rhymes and beautiful cadence. Wonderful alliteration as well. "where fairies ride on bumblebees" great visuals! Only problem was it ended and I had to come back.
Great job, best wishes
Warren

Yes, I didn't want it to end either! However, I had run out of fairy types to use!
    Thanks for the kind review

Very nicely done Kiwi. Touched a soft spot in my heart with the Midsummer Nights Dream references. One of my favorite plays especially the more current version with Michele Pfeiffer and Kevin Kline. Good job.

An interesting story of fairies, well developed. A good rhyming poem, I thought you had some great imagery through out the poem.

Enjoyed,

Bobby
