This poem addresses a very serious theme, which I deeply appreciate. That said, I'm not sure the poem read that well; there were lines I really liked, such as, "For from the time of freedom won", and lines that didn't work for me, such as, "that is not possible for us today". Not because I dislike what it's saying, but because it somehow doesn't read well. Thanks for sharing though.

Thank you for the comments and honesty. It is appreciated, I will look again at this line and think if I can change it somehow to better fit. Actually I do think it was a miss print. It should not have had the "not" but read instead "That is possible for us today" Thank you for letting me see this mistake.
