Dear lady we are glad you are still with us. Cancer is a battle; Thursday I will get the results of my PET scan. I was blessed with 9 months of remission before a questionable spot reared it ugly head. I wish I could help you with the pain. If you are still itcing I have found that heavy doses of 'cortizone' spray - which is anti-itch spray really helped me both with the itch and the radiation burns.
God continues to go with us. Continue to NOT let cancer have you. You inspire. You may not like it or enjoy it but you do inspire.

Dear lady we are glad you are still with us. Cancer is a battle; Thursday I will get the results of my PET scan. I was blessed with 9 months of remission before a questionable spot reared it ugly head. I wish I could help you with the pain. What an honest expression of pain, hurt and frustration. But I can also see a good sense of humor. My prayers are with you during this struggle. I wish I had some suggestion for the pain but I'm afraid I am at loss other than my support. Bless you.

This is a very well written update and I am glad you are nearer to the end. I have not had cancer, but I am in chronic pain everyday. Some days I'm not sure I can stand it. My best advice is to keep busy. When you are thinking about something else, you aren't thinking about the pain. Get as much sleep as you can and pray. I have found nothing I can take or smear on to be of any use. TENS units work well for some people, however I am allergic to the pads. And now for the cold, cruel truth, you do eventually get used to it, at least to some extent.I wish I had a miracle cure for both of us~Debbie

Thank you for your insight. I will pray for your. As of today I am getting blisters on the raw skin. Two radiation treatments left.

The itching and the burning both sound awful. It can only get better from here, right? I loved this: "I've learned not to pray for patience. The last time I did, I got pregnant with my youngest son. I was 40 when he was delivered. God has a sense of humor." An excellent write, showing you've held onto your sense of humor as well.
