Barbara - you certainly have my prayers and best wishes. To me, you show great strength and courage to keep us all up to date and continue to be so upbeat. Perhaps at virtual arms length, but I'm certainly with you on your journey. Always warm regards, Bill

Thank you for your kindness and support. I value your friendship. It's my friends that keep me strong. On bad days, I can come to FS and it gets my mind off how horrible I'm feeling. I get to laugh.

I wish I could offer some advice on how to deal with the pain. Unfortunately, I cannot. However, I do have to admire how strong you have been in dealing with this. My prayers will be with you.

What a courageous lady you are, Barbara, I am full of admiration for you. By talking so openly about your experience you help so many people. I have heard our Macmillan nurse suggest Aloe Vera gel and also when you shower, to wrap a freezer pack in a face clothe and hold it over the blisters. Silvadene cream is also used. I am so sorry for you having such a lot of pain. We shall all keep asking God to keep you safe and to help you get through this much love, mouse

My nurse tells me I can't use ice. I asked. I am sure it would feel great. I haven't been able to find pure aloe vera. I am searching for it. Thank you for the kind review.

The Macmillan girls say don't put the ice pack directly onto the skin. Wrap it in a towelling face cloth so the ice is not directly in contact, just the cool cloth, but you must go with whatever your nurses tell you. Love xxmouse

I don't understand why you can't use ice. I asked and was told no. I checked on the internet and it says the same thing. I have leaned into my bathtub and let the cool porclean cool me off.

This is a very touching story. Someone inflicted with cancer. As I read her story, I am reminded of a relative who had a similar experience. He had a colon cancer for three years with all the chemotherapy and medicine that he had to take every now and then. And then the weakness he had experience. I hope God would still be so kind as to give the writer more to live and get the cure that she needed. We may yet be able to come up with something with all the discoveries that we are doing today. My sympathies.

Hello Barb, you short wall written story indeed, was very painful to read.
From what faith I see you have takes courage.

wonderful statement)--

I've learned not to pray for patience. The last time I did, I got pregnant with my youngest son. I was 40 when he was delivered. God has a sense of humor.

Gert

Hi Barbara, thanks for the update. I wish I knew something to help the pain but I don't. I can't even imagine what you are going through. I'll pray that's the only thing I can do.
Warm regards,
Donna
