Wow! What a thought provoking, profound write my friend, great choice of words and the wit, talent of your pen is amazing, thanks for sharing and good luck.
P.S: You may want to add author notes to explain the symbols of our two political parties, believe me, there are many on the site who are not familiar or in politics to know and enjoy your witty poem.

Thanks for reading. I should follow up on your suggestion, because I have had some people who didn't follow. It's easy to forget that FS is a world-wide site. Regards, Bill

I had to stop by and see what you have written. I am not going to play politics here and only say that you did an awsome job of conveying your thoughts and your use of langauge was spectacular. You really hit a homerun within a tough style. Bravo!...dark lord

Thanks DL - one of the reviewers pointed out that pachyderms pile it higher and deeper. I don't know, crap is crap. Bill

And I'm not so sure about that. Ok. You sent me to the dictionary--not an easy task these days. As to the change. There is one difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats tell the public they will do something and don't. Republicans tell the public they won't do something and do.
It's mostly about taxes, though.

Thanks for reading and your your insightful observation. I believe I'm equally frustrated with both parties. Regards, Bill

The thing about politics is there is a tendency for the replacement of the old, that doesn't work with the new, full of promises. Then it becomes like "Animal Farm", no change.
A great entry which I enjoyed. Good luck in the contest.

You have good imagery and agood flow with your poem-you write about the present status of the white house where now a democrat is the president and there was a republican before--I like where you write(phylum change only)-a thought provoking write-great job.

This is so funny, and original. The more things change, the more they remain the same comes to mind when I read the poem. It's a great contest entry. Michelle

This is an interesting poem.
It speaks truth about reality.
Yet needs a dictionary to decipher it.

Thanks Jonathan - I really should have added author notes. Some folks didn't understand the political connection and some phylum. I forget sometimes that FS is international. Regards, Bill

Phylum change, but same results, uh? LOL! Funny little commentary, Bill. I love your sense of humour. No one is off limits. I don't know if I should comment, since I'm not an American, but, the humour is not lost on me. Good luck in the contest.
