Gee whiz, you could almost say this exact story is going on in the world right now. We are just puppets with our strings being pulled by the masters. Great write up here !

Hi, James. Thanks so much for this insightful review. Much appreciated! :) Bev

Wow, what an action chapter! The caretakers hostility was no doubt prompted by the spirit of Charles Bellingham. Although Porter thinks that the ghost protects him, obviously he is being used. The growling dog was a great addition, and added to the tension.
This chapter moved very fast, and I loved that last line!

Thanks so much, Irish. I really appreciate your support for this chapter. Things will move pretty quickly in this novel. Partly due to the fact I wrote the bones of it some years ago and can now apply some better techniques. Love your review! xx Bev

"Jenkins Porter raised his eyes (.)stopping at"....I think you've got a period here, instead of a comma.
So the caretaker is possessed. By the murderer. Must be darned unpleasant to be invaded by such a dark force. It might be a scary thought if I weren't so pragmatic. I'm just going to let you entertain me. Fun, Bev.

What a beautiful creepy story, it is most entertaining, fancy a strange voice coming out the mouth of the care taker! Evil manifestations in the form of talking through humans. Well written, I have been enjoying reading, the thing I like about FS is the different forms of stories, which I wouldn't normally read, so I'm broadening my literary horizons, well done, blessings, Roy.

Hi, Roy. Thank you very much for this great review! I, especially, appreciate the insights of people who don't normally read this genre. It's a fresh perspective, and I find it very helpful.
Many thanks,
Bev

Yip, that sure was freaky. Another great post that makes for a very interesting read.

Hey, I thought I was reading my own chapter from Trining. I used the same picture.
This is building to what should be a dynamic series of chapters ahead. I love paranormal novels -- especially when so exquisitely written.

Gosh, I didn't mean to use the same picture, Jay. Funny how you have these subliminal things going on. Anyway, thanks so much for the awesome review! :) Bev

Hi Bev, I think it's going to be one hell of a ride just reading along as the chapters are posted! This promises to be an exciting read, a most unusual subject for me, but I'm enjoying it.
