Reading this good friend solidifies my suspicions
that you have experienced what my chosen philosophical
comfort zone, Buddhism, knows as 'satori'. It is that
state of instant transcendence and as you well state,
epiphanous experience. This rush of neuronic activity
at the synaptic relays of the brain (which has been studied for years and has many catscans of both yogi brains during meditation and Bodhisattva brains during satori. It is as
evident on the scans as an empty cranial cavity would be. No question the base line alterations of brain chemistry
are constructively catastrophic. Ths Hindi Upanishads discuss these events as does Buddhist scriptures and teaching koans. No one religion or approach has a better
relationship with transcendent events. But Buddhist monks had a good handle on causal forces at work that triggers such profundity before Christ was born. They have astounded neuroscientists with their knowledge of brain function gathered empirically as opposed to theorhetic proofs or
scientific method though scientific method concurs with
the Buddhist empirical experience. Good write and it is fun having someone with such flexible passion for truth watching my back. Take care friend. easy

Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the read. My epiphany came my first semester in college. Lacking self confidence in academics, I realized what I was truly capable of and the only limits I faced were the ones I placed on myself.

I only wish others would look at "Imagine" with on open mind and put aside their preconceived notions. So many have railed against it claiming it to be communist or anti-christian propaganda. If they would listen, they would see how much better our world would be to follow its suggestions. (that rhymes. I'll have to remember it next time I feel poetic).

Last, let me finish with a comment on your statement, "If you offer honest critique without character assassination." I would add to this the ability for one to implement honest and complete self-evaluation.

Thanks again for sharing.

I am so encouraged to develop these thoughts further. The danger is my impatience. I want to do it as best I can. You and others are surely helping to keep me on track and motivated...John

I agree with you that a 'peak' experience or as I call it a 'God' moment is a pivotal moment when you feel part of,not separate from, the universe. These moments can also be reached through meditation. I enjoyed your description of an open mind being necessary for change to take place, suspending disbelief and letting imagination take over. I look forward to seeing this piece progress. xxmouse

Thank you. As future chapters develop, my hope is that some readers will come to awaken Common Sense. There is no other foundation to work from in order to create a different future. The words I write are intended to open new avenues for our thoughts to explore, not to glorify my Bubba. What will unify us is common goals that make sense...John

A great start to a novel Cogitator, you've certaily made your mark. This is a well-written piece and was cleverly constructed, I cannot suggest anything for improvment, an excellent job, keep writing!! :)

Extremely interesting. What caught my attention most was 'removing the lies'. I suppose we have to identify the lies first, which seems to me would be the hard part. Of course allowing expanded consciousness is the first step. Lies embedded in our psyche are like chains, limiting snares that encourage mediocrity.
I enjoyed this very much and found no errors.

John, I find your thoughts quite fascinating and believable. I also find that you are clear in letting us know what is to come. This introduction is helpful in creating the needed prologue to your work. Well done. Many truths in what you have written.

Lennon was quite possibly the greatest lyricist and musician of the twentieth century, the story in how it deciphers the song "Imagine" is living testimony to this

i think this introduction is very well written, you've laid out the concepts of the book and how you came to the realizations that you did, given examples and set up the reader to the book to follow.

I am impressed with your efforts here. I see this work as a gift to the Seven Generations to come--thank you!

Part of what you are describing is much like I perceive the use of magick in my Pagan practices. In that, I see myself limited only by myself when it comes to understanding and manifesting.

You're right. It all sounds easy. Like Dolly Parton once said "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap." Amen. It takes a lot of complicated untangling to be so simple.

I already have rewritten this five or six times. The next chapter will probably have to mirror the same effort. It will take time, but I know it can come true. The first and second chapter are already linked.. They will be improved. Thanks for your words...John
