I love the haiku and I enjoyed reading your author notes. You know, I wouldn't have the patience to do origami - so it just show you, I would never have the patience and fortitude to build up a whole country flattened by a tsunami. I hope somebody does. I wish the country well.
Nice to review you again Mike. I've rather missed you and your unusual slant on poetry.

I wonder if the site feels the same? LOL I have penned a few, but more everyday variety. I thank you for your compliments and this review. Mike

Mike, a gentle heart dances within this poem. A message that gently touches the mind and fills one with a sadness and a soft hush. Nice job..much love twomoon, hope you are well, and my tea I drank slowly here, my friend...

Hi Mike,

I read your notes with interest and to me this senryu speaks more about life struggles than an Origami. I agree, a closet that remains closed is also like a person who builds a wall of protection and won't let anyone in. A perfectly written senryu....chey

My God! What an unexpected compliment. Even within my own life, I see the fingers of many people who are responsible in making me the person who I am. I love the Kimono clad figures who helped me along. The statement of perfection in anything Japanese really takes one's breath away as that is the aim, not the reality. What a wonderful review and thanks for that and the compliments can't really express my gratitudes. With love, Mike

Well my mom loved oriental ceramic and admired the artistry in the cheap stuff that she purchased. Origami is a bit frustrating for me, and my Sumi looks like sump material, yet I enjoy their incenses, which I have also wrote about. Whether a constant or intermittant practice, their incenses and culture remind me to keep the spiritual included in everyday life. I thank you so very much for your compliments and this review.

Everybody reads a poem differently or so they say. I see this as as we unfold as people when we are young we make all the mistakes of youth. It is only belief and faith in God brings us back to a safe haven, when we reform. It is a great little thought. Well done !

Thank you very much for your compliments and this review. I agree and love it when a poem of mine has the effect of the view in parallel mirrors, meaning it has an infinite adaptions. My teenyears were very intense, yet despite any mistakes along the way, I am honored to experience them, and proud to be the person that I became. As an adult, I try to use that understanding to direct the actions of teens or youth to that end. Mike

This is great piece. I suppose we all have faith
for Japan. They will bounce back as always. I really
liked your authors notes.

Thank you very much for your compliments and this review, especially on the notes. While many are not happy with how things are going, I feel they are to be watched so we may find that spirit as things still happen to us. I was amazed at just how powerful a force from nature it took before things failed. Mike

Mike, your Senryu is brilliant and truly opens the poetic eye to the happenings in Japan. Beautifully and simply worded, it folds and unfolds the corners of my heart and soul!!!

No I haven't, but since you mentioned it, I will take a look, and yours as well. I enjoyed the review and thank you for it and the compliments. My thoughts only came together this morning and I was late at work because I thought it important to pen it, yet the wisps were on my mind all weekend. I am sorry to lose contact with you, but I sort of got overwhelmed with everything. Just something to report, on Facebook I gained many friends from Maylasia and it is a comforting honor for me, as I appreciate their outlook towards life. Keeps me thinking right!

Beautiful Senru. Your message was touching and well written. Your notes add so much depth and interpretation,to the piece. Very well done with-in the confines of a Senru, and the picture magnified the message.

In writing, I was sort of walking naked through the literary wilderness, guided by only my wits, instincts and a precious few that helped show me along the way. Since this is where I maintain my portfolio, I felt it only fitting to provide notes and proper credit for my research and inspirations. Too many author's are guarded in this respect and I want others to be able to see the pathology so they can develope the talent of fitting things together. Thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Mike K2

Your author's notes are so valuable to understanding your poem. You've captured the essence of the disaster and recovery well in this poem. Cheers! Jerry

Thank you so very much for the compliments and this review. Hopefully I have captured the essence and provide reassurance on Japan's faith. In this case, I love how one poem can inspire another and to me, that is always noteworthy. Mike
