Sorry I somehow missed this one when you first posted it, Jan :-) This is just delightful - your observations of Lexi's observations are fascinating - I can just see this bright little one discovering so many new things about her world and about herself :-) Brooke

Hello redfrdmom...
So glad to find more about lexi on my return to FS. You write about her with such feeling that one almost knows her.
Great poem. I also enjoyed your notes.
Fondly, Rebecca

It is wonderful watching a child discover new things in the world. It brings them such joy and in turn it brings us joy. You capture that well in your poem. One of the beautiful things you capture in a young person is their energy. Well done.

Hi Rdfrdmom2

Watching a toddler make all sorts of 'new' discoveries - some of them 'forgotten' sice yesterday - is always heartwarming and amusing.

Nicely expressed in your verses.

Patrick

Your author notes are superb-you have good imagery and a good flow with your poem-you are descriptive and write with emotion-I love everything about your poem-the form is very interesting somewhat like what Miss Lexi was performing--I like where you write(you blow kisses as you dart away-new discoveries to be made)--I feel that she is already on the way--well done.

Nothing more precious than watching and listening to a child at play, especially when they don't know you're watching and listening! Great poem.
