I so appreciate your blunt honesty about yourself. I thought you did an excellent job with this essay. Discovering who we are often takes a lifetime with many metamorphoses along the way. Being honest about who we are is even harder. I hope you will also discover ways in which you were a good father.

There was a joke about kids that stated that the older they got, the smarter their parents became. My two don't blame me, and both regret the choices they made. I do wish I had given more time instead of money.

My youngest was just accepted into UMHB, a small private college here in central TX. Without room and board it will cost about $34,000 a year. Way too expensive. He should be able to get about $15,000 in scholarships because of his grades, but still that leaves a heck of a lot of money. We shall see.

My youngest was just accepted into UMHB, a small private college here in central TX. Without room and board it will cost about $34,000 a year. Way too expensive. He should be able to get about $15,000 in scholarships because of his grades, but still that leaves a heck of a lot of money. We shall see.
