I think what I enjoy most about your writing is the character development. You always have a strong male who does the "white knight" thing for our heroine. You also create just the right amount of drama to make me nervous as your "bad guy" begins to unravel. Always leaves me anxious to see what's next. Good chapter!

I'm glad you didn't lose this post, Barbara - this is an excellent chapter. Through the dialogue you develop Troy's character effectively while also providing back story naturally.

I think this is a smooth read. It flows very well indeed.
I have to say that this is not my usual type of read but I read this through twice, and went back to read the first chapter.
The crux of this story is a harsh reality to many; I believe you have handled it with sensitivity and compassion.
I feel for Anna as I would anyone in the same situation.
If only we could all have a white knight!

White nights are only in Romance Novels, that the whole problem. I hope Anna's white nigth will help her out of this abusive marriage. I can promise you, it will get worse for Anna before it gets better. Thank you for your kind review.

Troy does have demons he's fighting, but with good reason. I'm glad he is now offering help to anyone who needs it, because of what he went through, and glad Anna took his business card. She'll need his help. This chapter is becoming more interesting and I like the suspense it has.

Ah, that ended before I was finished being involved. Poor Anna. How does one break away from these situations? Such men should be locked away for good so others like them can get to them.
I like Troy. He seems the solid and kind type. I hope things work out here.
