'Harley's First Snow' is a chapter with a cheerful story. In Alaska during the winter, our little dog must wear felt booties in the ice and snow. Oddly enough, the outdoors invigorates him; he loves to go out in the cold.
Should mention if Simba and Leo are people, dogs or what: '...Mistress talking to Simba and Leo as she put food in their dishes...'

'Harley's First Snow' is a chapter with a cheerful story. In Alaska during the winter, our little dog must wear felt booties in the ice and snow. Oddly enough, the outdoors invigorates him; he loves to go out in the cold.
Should mention if Simba and Leo are people, dogs or what: '...Mistress talking to Simba and Leo as she put food in their dishes...'

Harley is really growing.
The little fellow just never knows from one day to the next what new adventure awaits him. I'm sure he was glad to get back to his warm bed after that snowy playground.

It seems that little Harley had a little trouble acclimatizing to the snow under his paws and I can relate to this. Being from Melbourne, this would be a novelty for me too. Your writing is very skilled and your story well crafted and you take the reader with you effortlessly into the mind of a little dog and his view of the world.
