Very cleverly done, I would need to read the poem more to understand each and every nuance, it is a long poem. I will do this, but for this review, I found it easy to read, the rhyming was solid the phraseology clever and crisp, the tempo of the poem was medium and suited to the profundity of the poem, and whilst I don't completely understand the total message, I get the gist of it, and will endeavour to look to it more deeply later.

Magnificent!!!!
A sure win. This will prove to be a fantastic contest and interesting to follow.
Your vocabulary is off the charts. I feel any words used in this review will not measure up to the poem. :)
I have a new crush, I'm afraid. I am attracted to large nostrils. Lol ;)

lol, thank you :-). I don't think I'm going to win - not by a mile - but I've had some of my favourite ever reviews for this poem (including a bad one that initially upset me, but then I decided it just makes the rest of them all the sweeter!). I was excited by the opportunity to air some of my favourite words :-)

PS: My nostrils thank you, but they are blushing!

A feast indeed for the voracious lover of words. Well done.
My favorite:
A humorous approach can grant insight
by poking at the sanity of life
until unravelled laughter shines a light
and threads the darn repairing undue strife

A simplistic philosophy I live by!

lol, thanks, Kiwi :-). I'm glad you share my view of discovering new words, rather than that of a few naysayers. I had a whale of a time putting this one together!

Great write, Fleedle. Love your author's notes, which I was dying to see if you'd put in your notes and I like the off-beat rhyme.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you remind me of Easy, in this one.

Good job using, like, all the words in the dictionary! I loved how this hit me. As a writer, I do like to pursue the rare words in our English language.

A fellow adventurer! Many thanks for this fantastic review, Jana. This was a great opportunity for me to break out some of the less common words I've been itching to use! I'm thrilled you enjoyed the read so much :-)

Wow! Your vocabulary use is oustanding. Your poem is well-written.

Admire the big vocabs but it isn't always necessary to write a great piece.

All-in-all, a really excellent piece.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review :-). I agree totally - amazing poetry can be composed of entirely monosyllabic words, and can be extremely simple. It's all about saying it RIGHT.

Of course, it's also fun to use unusual words at times, and a contest like this was the perfect excuse for me!

I am in awe of this poem, and of this writer. I have to wonder, was it written in one sitting? Did he generate this as a whole, or piece it together like a quilt, only realizing the beauty of the sequence when he wrote the final couplet? Truly, in awe.

Thank you, Terry - what an awesome review :-). I wrote the first few lines in my notebook in the morning at work because I had them solid in my mind. I then spent a loo break mapping out what I wanted to cover in each sonnet, and wrote the rest of it during my lunch hour. It then got a couple of tweaks when I typed it up for submission to Fanstory.

Definitely one of those fevered writes!

    Thanks again.
