what a great write patty - poor harley, it's cruel because they don't understand...
i so especially love:
'She would fix the mistake made by the Man. He was the one that picked up all the bowls last night. He was a bad Man. The Mistress should not give him any treats and make him lie down on his bed!'
- made me laugh out loud...

LOL! It made my hubby and the kids laugh, too. Everyone wants to know why I'm making Harley hate 'the Man,' but it just makes sense to me! :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. ~patty~

Poor Harley. I just know he's SO ABUSED! I expect he's all healed and has probably forgiven you. I wonder what he thinks about the Vet's office now. Hmmm. Glad to know he's doing well. :D Nancy

I like how you show us from your dog's perspective of his experience. Poor Thing we must seen stupid and very confusing to him! Great little tail, I mean tale.

Thank you so much for continuing to read Harley's saga. Your comments mean a great deal; writing from a pet's POV is not always easy, but it does come easier with each new chapter. ~patty~

It must be so hard for them to know what is going on.
Sure even us humans don't always know what is going on when we are having surgery but at least we know why we are their.
Well told story.

It's a pleasant heart-warming story. Nice to read. Harley sounds like a cry baby lol! But nah, he/she sounds like a good dog. This story wasn't unique though. There are lots of stories about people's animals on this website, but thanks for sharing.

Hi patty,
Poor Harley...when I had my dog spayed she cried like a baby when I got her home. The only way I could quiet her was to hold her tight in my arms. I finally got her to drink some water and then she could have a pain pill. She slept through the night and the next morning she acted like nothing happened. She took out the stitches herself! I am glad Harley finally got some food...even the anesthetic didn't ruin his appetite. What an adorable dog and one you make seem so human. Well done. Blessings, chey

So, here's my wished for story on Harley. How could I have missed this! I figured something was up when he wasn't getting fed in the first few paragraphs. I'm glad to hear our adorable angel is doing well after the traumatic event. You did a truly wonderful job with this chapter on Harley patty. It was delightful reading and I'm so relieved all is well with all of you. Best wishes...Bev

I find seeing a dog with a cone on his/her head very comical (in a good way). I've had that with our dogs over the years. Your Harley stories are well accepted with me, well written and easily read.Looking forward to more...

I am so glad to hear more about Harley. I think of how confusing it is for a person to have surgery, I can't imagine what a dog thinks. I love how he blamed the Man for him not having food. Sounds like my dog, Harley has a way of making his needs known!!! Great story! Debbie
