Its my first reading of this book but still enjoy different authors styles of writing. Well set out with good characters. Not knowing the story did not spoil my enjoyment.

Joe planning everything was right in character; I would not change it. Sara rebuffing it is also in character. I very much enjoyed your novel. Hope you'll read the one I've been doing; that you like it also. I would say the strength in your story comes from to fallible people still being fallible even in love.

Many blessings. Hope we get to see you soon; I realize treatment and work must take priority. If You want to write and get suggestions while you trudge this road to remission feel free. I'll do whatever I can to help.

This chapter is a great ending for this nice and interesting novel. I like the surprises that Joe planned for his bride. Very well done

Congratulations on the completion of your book. I loved this chapter. So, what's wrong if Joe organised everything? I think it's romantic and Sara was right to haul him over the coals about it. Now he knows that she too has a say.
You ended this well.

Well, I'm glad Sara stood up for herself and at least addressed the situation of Joe's planning and setting up the weeding and even adoption, before propsing. HOwever it seems to me both would have needed more time before proceding. Joe is pretty controlling, from when he bought the tickets to take Sara to the reunion dinner/dance or whatever, without even asking if she was planning to go/did she have a date/did she want to go? He's not likely to let go of his controlling ways so easily. Sara's had to take in a lot of new information and would have to rearrange her whole life if she goes through with this and without giving it due consideration, it seems a girl with so little experience and self esteem would have more trouble taking it all in and deciding so quickly. I get that it al probably seems very fairytale like to her. Maybe it's because of being a military man. It's a lovely story, but having been married to a controlling type, I see trouble ahead. Probably just me. An interesting story. Good luck with it and I hope you are continuing to do well. Marcia

You're welcome. I felt it would serve no good purpose to say anything other than the truth, as I see it. :) I do hope you're feeling well. Take care and good luck. Marcia

I'm glad to hear you are doing better and the reviews are helping you with the final edits. While it may have seemed unrealistic to some that Joe planned the wedding - it DID remind me of "The Wedding" by Nicholas Sparks. His main character planned an entire formal wedding as a gift to his wife of 30 years to show he had changed. It still stands in my mind as the MOST romantic thing EVER! Joe is a very stand-up guy, and it is believable to me that he would do ANYTHING for Sara - including planning a wedding. I will miss this story line, but I'm looking forward to your next project. ~patty~

You have constructed a live, engaging love story which held the reader's interest tot he very end. Which I may add was little surprising.

Hi Barbara - I liked everything about this except the ending, The End. I've enjoyed how you have written a love story within an action piece. Well done. For some reason I'm not allowed to give you a six which I would have freely done. Despite having you own personal challenges, you cranked this out with your usual high standards. Really good stuff. Warm regards, Bill
