There can sometimes be an extreme jealously between pets. I've never had more than one pet so I've never experienced it.
Great story and lively writing.

I love to watch animals play - must have been frustrating for him having that door
between them

Another enjoyable read, Patty.

Hi Margaret; I just went and fixed those sentences - another of my eagle-eye readers caught the same thing.
Thank you so much for reading. I appreciate your time and kind words,

Nice use of the multiple POV. The game is obviously fun, but barbed; I can just visualise the poor pup nealry tripping over his tongue.

Apart from these, great. I love these vignettes.

    Good morning (at least for me);
thank you for reading and catching my nits. I went in and made the corrections.
I'm so glad you are enjoying these stories - I enjoy your tales of the other world, so much.

No worries. I'm not removing stars for tiny nits because I know you'll fix them.

Bless him, did he ever get to be with them without the door separating them? Cats can be very tormenting when they want to be, lol, but they do love to play just as much as dogs. Another lovely story, and a pleasure to read as usual. :) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra; yes, he did get to be with them when he was bigger. I was always afraid Simba would kill him with his huge paws and sheer weight. When Harley was full grown, he only weighed fifteen pounds to Simba's twenty-five. However, they did get to be good friends and even cuddled together.

Goodness me, Simba was a big one!! I thought my Millie was big, she weighed in at 18lbs. :) Yes, I'm loving the stories. :)

This is a special one as all three pets are realizing that they live together so they may as well get use to each other and they do. I love it that Simba and Leo decided to play with Harley. It is so unique to see cats and dogs getting along and living together but I guess it's like they say, "If you can't beat them join them."

I having so much fun reading these pet stories. Your stories are making me miss my Julianna but they are so intriguing that I can't resist reading them and after all, this way I am sharing your pets with you.

Hi Tier; I'm so glad that you are enjoying these stories and they are soothing the feelings you have in missing Julianna. The animals really did get along so well. Simba accepted Harley as long as he could tease him. I think it was easier because Simba was such a big cat. He weighed about twenty-five pounds!

There are a few more stories coming up where Simba is the star,
thank you for reading and reviewing,

If only your pets knew of your devotion and the inspiration they give you to write patty? But I suspect they all receive so much love from you and your adventures are for you to treasure. Animals bring us joy and fill our hearts with love and there is sadness when the leave us. You write of such great adventures with your pets, you truly are a great lover of animals, I admire you for that. Love Dolly x

Hi Dolly; thank you so much for your lovely comments for my stories and the love I have for my pets. I do tend to get very close with my pets, and I started to voice what I thought they might be thinking or saying a long time ago. My stories are the result of watching and imagining.

I'm glad you enjoy them. Thank you for reading along,

A very well-written pet story. Different animals in one household take some time to adapt to one another. They will protect their territory until they see no one is a threat to their domain.

Love the beautiful story. Always an enjoyable read, and NO SPAGS! Keep up the good work. I only have one last chapter of my book to put up for a Revive Certificate. I need to work on some corrections a dear friend gave for a chapter a ways back. We need to organize a Foreword for this book then all finished.

YOu're braver than I am. I can't imagine bringing in a strange dog or cat to mix with the other kind. My mom lived her for a while and brought her cat. I have three small dogs. Once, she left her door open and her cat was sleeping in her room. THe dogs terrorized the poor thing. It was awful. But they didn't catch her, thank goodness.

Hi Phyllis; the only reason I was brave enough to bring Harley into the house was because I knew he would never be as big as Simba. When Harley was full grown, he weighed fifteen pounds to Simba's twenty-five. Leo was safe because Simba would protect him. They did all get along - even though Harley's hyperactivity drove Simba batty sometimes. But then he would jump over the gate to the bedroom and ignore him.
    Thank you for reading,

Hello my friend

Harley and Guscott could be friends and they could swap stories about cats. Simba must be a big one, those paws could pack a punch if he swiped Harley. I'm spending the weekend with my daughter. She has three adorable cats. One is a coon. He used to have a massive mane and looked rotund so I called him gordito. But he got a haircut or a shave and now he looks like a lion.

Good job sweetie pie.

Hi Gypsy; thank you so much for reading this latest offering of Pet Stories. I think Guscott would've loved Harley. He was a very sociable dog.
I never had to shave Simba - he groomed himself well, and I brushed him at least once every other day. I always thought it would be funny - or mean. Simba would not have liked missing his luxurious coat!
