Ver cleverly done. Good twist on "If I should die before I wake..." which is what most of us learned growing up--not sure about kids today. Rhyme and meter are both good; enjoyable reading.

It is indeed a novel idea to write a love poem speaking of death, coma and such repugnant things. Your poem flowed smoothly, rhymed well and made fascinating reading.
Yes, we forget until the last minute to say several things which we ought to have said earlier.

Absolutely beautiful! Really tugs at the heart. Feelings such as this should never go unspoken and you expressed yourself perfectly. I especially liked " If I should wake from coma deep, I'll let you know that in my sleep, I sensed your presence and your love, twas you that I was dreaming of" Well said! Bravo!!
