I admire this poem for I admire the skaters. It is also for me a calming feeling to watch them so gracefully slide across the ice. I could not make out the picture to associate with words. Perhaps it was the sequins?
I admire this just the same and think you did a wonderful job as the image came to my mind as I read this.

I love skating and used to skate. Now that I am disabled of course I can't,but watching others puts me into a trance. It is like nothing else in the world matters when I watch skating. Thank you for the kind review. I may write this as a non-fiction as there was just so much I had to leave out to put it into poetry form. Debbie

The ampeletum is a challenging form because the six syllables fill up fast! Your poem manages to keep the reader focused on your words and simply feel the flow. Well done. ~patty~

I enjoyed this poem, your rhythm seemed to mimic the skater's movements on the ice. Perhaps in stanza 3 you could choose a stronger verb than makes e.g. drives. I love to read this form of poem, the rhyme scheme is very satisfying as you so ably demonstrate. The alliteration and sibilant sounds throughout give the hiss of skates on ice. Lovely! x moyramouse
