Ha Ha, I just read your notes and I thought Ampeletum Referred to the Puppies Ample fat Belly LOL..... Now i feel silly, anyway, I believe Harley is the puppy that replaced your previous dog if I remember correctly........ Replace is probably the wrong word to use, but you know what I mean, I may be wrong, as I have reviewed lots of poems relating to pets and Nature, that's my thing. I don't worry too much about the technicalities of the various styles of poetry, I just know what I like, It makes things so much more simple for me, I liked this one, it reveals a nice picture in my mind of the excitement of a new Puppy.
Regards
Dave

Hi we have a shared passion for animals as well.
What a darling picture of the precious Harley!
He has such a sweet face.
The poem flows beautifully and the imagery is great.
Puppies do grow up far too quickly though.
Your poem bring back happy memories for me.
My puppies to me were never really small as they are german shepherds and they came to me at 12 weeks old!
All in all a lovely Friday evening read.
Love
Norms

Thank you for reading my latest pet poem. Harley is my pride and joy, and though I've only had him for a little over a month, I can't remember what it was like before he was here. He is WAY smaller than a German Shepherd - in fact, when I first got him, he was the size of a large guinea pig! Thanks for reading and the generous review. ~patty~

He looks truly cute and my male shepherd was 10kgs at 12 weeks and now he weighs in at 50kgs. he is just over 4 years. A BIG BOY:) Norms

Harley weights a bit over 5 pounds and he is probably only going to be about 12 pounds at full size. My cat, Simba will always be bigger - he weighs about 20 pounds.

wow your Simba is a big boy, my daughter's cat Rusty weighs slightly less than him:)

Cute little puppy! I have two cats and they leave marks on my hands and sometimes on my legs when they jump out of my lap. Your ampeletum looks great! Great job! V.A.

Hi Patty! I very much enjoyed this latest Harley poem! I also like this ampeletum format --- though I haven't yet tried one. Your poem flows nicely, and the message and rhyme are a delight! :-) Andy

I enjoyed this well written verse about our friends in third density awareness. I read somewhere dogs have five chakras so they contain much Light.

On my hands are traces
little teeth leave their mark
I try to scold Harley
he just gives a sharp bark

Pets crack me up - I like to watch the wheels in their head spin when I talk to them. It looks like you do too.

This is really a fun poem to read. Your rhyming is great.
Everybody loves a little puppy, so you have a great subject

That is a beautiful form created by our dear JeJo. You've done it proud telling us of your beautiful boy Harley (what a great picture!). I can see your pride with every word, and especially lines like these:

Oh the joy puppies bring
with their little faces
puppy barks, nips and fun
running puppy races

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'll come back to read more of your pet poems - I adore animals; being an animal activist also.

Your poem melted my heart, thank you.

Dear Mustangpatty1029

A lovely heart warming poem about Harley is your Jack Russell Terrier. Nice flow to the poem nice flow to the rhyme scheme. Always interesting to find different forms of poetry, I marvel at Brooke (adewpearl) skill and knowledge. You have done an excellent job here. You put me to shame, I know I should break away from my ABAB or somewhat practicable rhyming schemes.....Your An inspiration.
Good job and I look forward to reading more from you.

Kind regards
Steve
