just love
'Oh the joy puppies bring
with their little faces
puppy barks, nips and fun
running puppy races'
i can't have a dog where i live, and it wouldn't be fair anyway as i'm at work all week.... and i believe that animals should have us around more than i'd be able...
but i do miss having an animal friend - you are so lucky
i really like the rhythm of this form
might try it myself

I don't seem to come to terms with syllables but have had dogs and other assorted animals/pets. I love your poem as it catches an aspect of the life of a pup, even the scratches/nibbles on the hand. Dave.

Very much enjoyed! Even brought a nice smile to my face.
"little teeth leave their mark" This one in particular really made me grin - my cat leaves the same remarks when i am not giving him enough attention :)

I'm happy you are putting together a bo0ok on your pets.
Harley a cute little guy. Although we have two dogs that we saved, I'm really not a dog person. I love kittens. We have saved 14 of them. All pets get the works--I'm pet poor. Keep it up---they return more than they receive.

I must confess to thinking ampeletum was describing Harley's tummy until I read some of the other ratings!!! Now I know what an ampeletum is and gosh it sure does put some pressure on you to produce. I think you've done a good job.
Harley looks absolutely adorable - I have a Norfolk Terrier who is just a year old and he is such a character. We also have a golden labrador who is getting on in years but the youngster has given him a new lease of life. x moyramouse
