It was fun reading about Harley's first Christmas. We had a dachshund who absolutely loved Christmas and Easter. He opened presents for us and brought Easter eggs to us without breaking them.

Thank you for continuing to read Harley's saga. Somehow I think if he had opened any gifts this year, he would have eaten the paper, boxes, and maybe given us the gifts! ~patty~

And a good time was had by all. You do a great job of passing on what Harley saw and did on his first Christmas in his new home. I agree that animals are social creatures. Any time visitors arrived, my cats would materialize to meet and greet, and then to take up strategic positions to listen to the conversation and absorb the atmosphere.

Gotta love it when the cats come in to 'listen.' Simba is really into being social, but Leo is kind of scared to come out. Harley, on the other hand, is a social beast. He wants to be at the center of everything. Thank you for reading and the generous review. ~patty~

Hello Mustangpatty,
What a cute story depicting Harley's first Christmas.
As the little doggies and other have such good masters to take care of them they always appreciate their gifts, and mostly their love. This is a very happy story to read.
Thank you,
pat

Hi Patty,
How lovely to hear about Harley and his escapades. He sounds as though he is doing wonderfully well and is as cute as a button. A Jack Russle was designed to keep a person on their toes! ;-) Your did such a truly excellent job with this little story. It was entirely enjoyable. I'm looking forward to hearing more of this little fellows adventures. Hugs, W ^-^

Thank you SO much for continuing to read Harley's story. He does seem to be thriving, and he and I are having a good time. He is great company, and I can't wait until he has all of his shots, so we can start hanging out at the dog parks! ~patty~

I was drawn to your story by the title. I was afraid someone had named a baby Harley and I wanted to check it out. I'm glad the subject of your cute story turned out to be a little dog! He sounds like a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing the story of his first Christmas!

LOL! Yeah, it would be mean to name a child Harley Davidson. This Jack Russell Terrier is the subject of my novel of his adventures and many of my poems. I'm glad you enjoyed, and I appreciate your generous review. ~patty~

Hi, Patty, this is a wonderful account of Harley's first Christmas ! I'm sure he enjoyed all the excitement of new people, laughter and Mufasa. I think you mistakenly categorized this writing under the poetry section (vs. story). Great write, nonetheless.

Hi Patty,
This is such a delightful story about Harley's first Christmas. You descriptions are so vivid I felt as if I were a fly on the wall watching all the festivities. I think my little dog knows everything I say to her...if she wants to...if not she just turns her head away. Well written and enjoyable story....blessings, chey
