So beautifully you write, master.
As I stare watching almost nothing outside, this beauty you wrote is appropriate. Warm somehow.
I am new to FSP, and getting to love the folks here.
I have one other piece coming today,
it is a Flash which came in a flash last night...
unique for me, have a look see.
You are a desired reviewer for we beginners, such attention to detail, this is unconditional love which I am sure most cherish.
Have you reviewed my Last Letter From Grandfather, I will soon figure out how to look the archival up. If not,I would be humbly honored.

Oh I've been meaning to buy some of those trees, they make great wind-breakers and they look good, too! ;) It snowed last night, about an inch on the ground, but at least it's kind of white outside. ~L~

I personally love when our trees get the icicles hanging off them. Turns it into a frozen forest. It's just the epitome of winter, I guess. Anyhow, nicely done! :)

Hi Brooke,

I read through this quatrain. I could sense the trochaic pattern, and liked it here.

I enjoy the winter flavor of this poem's theme. Gives a crisp fast tactile image, and a cold celebration aftertaste.

The verbs are all strong high add. I enjoyed reading this, this morning.

Sorry, love, now you are making things really complicated with trochaic feet! I haven't even gotten to the first foot yet. :) Do you call a cypruss tree a thuja tree or is this something else. You've floored me with this poem so I will just say it rhymed and flowed well. :) luv jada

the photographer called this a thuja so I googled it - it's a big, tall evergreen, that's all I know :-) Thanks, Jada :-) Brooke

This one is really quite pretty Brooke. I like the rhythm of this style really well too. You visually make these delightful but I like the "Winter's frozen jubilee" line best. xoxo Kiwi

Brooke, I really enjoyed this beautifully crafted quatrain with its vivid imagery and the perfect art work to support it. Thank you for sharing it. Although I do enjoy winter weather for a few days, I wouldn't change it for my tropical climate. It's been around 75 - 80 degrees here, with 15-25 mph wonderful trade winds ... eat your heart out, my friend. :-)

A caring person would have told their readers what a thuja tree is and where they come from. I searched your authors notes, but there was no mention of it. I like to be educated on the nature contained within the poetree, oh well, I guess it's back to Gardens & Trees magazine for me. lovely winter sceen. Mike

Mike, I can't believe all the people who've asked me what the tree is - when the photographer called his picture a thuja tree, I looked the damn thing up. LOL Took me all of 15 seconds on google. Thanks so much, my friend : -) Brooke

I was just about to do the same thing when I thought, why look something up if I can get my big sister to do it for me. If I would have known so many other smart A's were going to ask the same question, I would have just writen a review. Mike

And now I have hit the Trifecta, theree
poems of beauty of words all in a row,
different in style, yet each filled with
the artistic grace and stylish artistry
that only the gifted bring to the screen
as each word caresses the heart with warmth
even on the coldest of days.
Well done

Hello Brooke,
it's so nice to see you compose a poem in the trochaic form
Plus your image of how ice clings to a thuja tree

Lovely imagery in this piece, I can feel the chill as I read it! All those "s" and "f" sounds give the poem a calm, quiet, soothing feel - much like the calming effect of watching snow as it falls. I really like the alliteration - "fall like frosted ferns" and the sound of all the proximate rhymes connected in the third line - wow!
Thanks for including your educational author notes. Fantastic artwork! I can see why that inspired you. KeepSmiling :)
