Such a clear, concise moment and emotion captured here in this short, near-heart shaped verse. Lovely way to capture this sweet memory and grant it immortality. Best to you in your recovery, and in your poetry.

"Zoom mode" lol - maybe she's been channelling a cat and getting into cuddle mode for once! :P
Lovely poem, dear Baroness, that speaks of all sorts of love, for me.

jan,
i'm so glad that you are able to have lexi with you again. i know that means more to you than anything. very sorry to hear about the pancretitis. that's no fun. i love it when my daughter wants to snuggle with me. she's seven now. i know that soon enough she won't want me hugging her. sigh. i'm so happy you are doing better.
love,
barbara

thanks so much, babylonia, for this exceptional rating. I am humbled and honored. Lexi has been snuggling a lot today, too. She's had an ear infection and a cold -- I think she just likes having her nanny close by. Love, jan

is she still snuggling? i hope she is. i hope you are doing well. i read this last week and thought i had written back. oh well. just hope you are doing well.

HA! I didn't need to read your notes to know who this little ditty was written for. Smiles!
How wonderful. Now you need to keep these all together and one day, publish a little book of Lexi's Poems of Love.
Let me know, Jan!
Hugs and love,
Gayle

I like your title. With your granddaughter's head in your heart and soul is a wonderful way to be, especially if one anticipates the future and you foresee the same continuing. Then it won't just be the head but her mind.
The visual image of the poem compliments the idea--your granddaughter seeping into your being. Very well done.

Jan, You've done a marvelous job of describing how all we
grandparents feel when that special little one is with us.
They manage to plant themselves deeply within our hearts.

A gorgeous tribute to your granddaughter, Lexi. I was very moved by this very unique genre of poetry, in the way you've used it to relay a special moment. True to the intent of a nonet, you have succeeded with this one. Thanks for posting.

Jan...I am so happy for you and this special gift of your relationship with Lexi which you describe so beautifully in this nonet poem. The imagery in the first two lines is lovely. The deep, honest, simple sentiment in the last four lines beautiful. Best of luck in this contest. Sue
