Hello,
I'm glad to learn that Harley's visit to the vet went smoothly. My mother's cats loath these visits. Harley's pov is written in an engaging way, and he feels happy and loved. Well written as usual.

Hi there; Harley loved going to the Vet - he was a strange little dog sometimes - but then, he was just very sociable,

What a cutie Harley was. Patty, you did a great job describing the scenes from his playful POV. I really like the part about the toys--his stealing toys from the cats. That is so true. My kitties love the feather toys, too. But they try to eat the feathers or they break the feathers off.

I am enjoying each installment & will continue reading those from a few years ago that I missed [I wasn't on FS then]. Please continue sharing.

Thanks for caring for the little animals. Jan

Hi Jan; thank you so much for this review. I'm editing several chapters and releasing them with a certificate, so if you want to wait until they have more points and member dollars...

These writings are enjoyable. I like them.

My favorite sentences and funny as hell: Harley thinks of the face as his Mistress, the other person that comes and goes is just the Man. Harley surmises that it is the place where he does 'Man Stuff.'

Harley, as well as Bernie and Howie, are very fond of 'The Master,' but are puzzled as to why he is gone for a part of each day and sometimes away for a few days at a time. So, I decided they must think he is doing 'man stuff,' the way the Mistress does her 'stuff.'

She lets him stretch fore and aft, and then she picks him up for his morning hug. Life is good. (This is my Rocky. He's a big stretcher and hugger)

Wait until he finds out what Neuter means.

Hi Heidi; yes, my poor pets. Everyone gets neutered or spayed on the rare occasions I have a female. I've always been able to convince them its the Master's idea. Thank you for reading,

Harley's visit to the vet went better than most I've had with my pets except maybe my Bassett hound who we still miss.
I can tell by your writing there was a strong bond and that makes for great reading.
I enjoyed it.

Hi Michael; thank you so much for reading along. Harley and I did indeed have a strong bond. For some reason, he loved going to the Vet. I think he just liked the attention - he was a very social dog.

A warm heartfelt write Patty, animals rely on us and our mood and treatment of them shapes their lives. Did Harley live in a crate? I was a bit confused about that? I'm not sure what happened to Harley, but if he has now gone, then this must have been a difficult story to write, love Dolly x

Hi Dolly; Harley didn't live in a crate - I guess I need to massage that a bit. He did stay in the kitchen until he was completely potty trained. Yes, Harley is gone now, and writing about him is a bit difficult, but having Howie and Bernie in my life helps a great deal.
    Thank you for reading along,

Yes, my friend, Harley seemed a lovable companion to have you bring him to life so well I don't think there are many dogs that visit the vet and behave well like him I enjoyed regards Jill

Hi Jill; thank you so much for reading Harley's story. He has a few more chapters, and then I need to concentrate on Howie and Bernie for awhile. I truly appreciate you reading along,

Good morning, Patty

Interesting POV regarding a visit to the vet. Loosing a dog is a painful experience but well worth the joy and comfort they bring. What breed was Harley?

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

Hi Ray; Harley was a Jack Russell Terrier. I was blessed to have him with me for about two years. He had a heart problem and there really wasn't anything they could do for him, so we had to have him put down in 2012. I got Howie a few months later. My experiences with Harley made me realize I loved having a small dog, but I decided to get a cross breed instead of a pure breed. The Vet told me the cross breeds were heartier. Howie isn't any part Jack Russell, so he is less rambunctious.

Harley was the first dog I wrote about from his POV. I had written about cats before, but I tried to find a different 'voice' for my dog stories,

Sorry about the ramble - thank you for reading and for the lovely review,

Good work, and a lovely read. You make us feel "right there" with you in your story-telling. I had figured they were at the vet's hehe. I guess he will not enjoy the shots or the desexing neither.

Hi; thank you so much for reading one of my 'dog stories.' Harley was a wonderful dog, and my stories about him were fun to write, and the precursor to the stories I write about Howie and Bernie now. I'm glad you enjoyed it,

No worries Sis. I had one dog. I wrote about him in my biography. Toby son to Gyppy my brother's bitch. We don't know who was Toby's Daddy, hehe.
