Haha aww, such an adorable story. I could visualise his black and white little face and his stubbly tail perfectly. What an adorable pup and his new best friends the kitties.

Very good at interpreting a pup's reactions to his new world. I think if I brought a puppy into my house, my cat, Cashew, would eat him for lunch. LOL. I liked this very much.

I can't imagine how our dog would react to a new addition to the family. I think all in all Harley handled it very well.
Such a delight to read about your pets. Past and present.

I was so pleased to find you'd left a story for me in my PM box, Patty.

Harley's such a character - I wish all the stories on FS were so entertaining
and easy to read as yours - such a tonic.

What a great finish. You do this so well, Patty, I wish I'd be one of your pets.

>>She was humming and softly calling his name. She bent down and picked him up and cradled him in her arms. He gratefully licked the face he now knew was his pal. With a soft sigh, he cuddled in the crook of her arm, and quickly fell asleep. He would get those animals later. Right now, he just needed some shut-eye.<<

Right, time for some shut-eye indeed.

Oh Mustangpatty, I am so in love with this story. I am so happy that you revived it. It is so well written and it captured my heart. It made me smile a whole lot, even a laugh and then even a small tear drop. This is a very moving and touching story. You describe these animals so excellently. You really know your animals.
Applause...applause...applause...

She put his crate in the front seat of the car, and faced the opening towards her. She made the car move with a big wheel and there was music coming from in front of him and a few other places, too. His eyes kept going back to her face to study her. He didn't want her to know he was studying her, so every time she looked at him, he looked away.

Hi Tier; I'm so glad you liked this story. Harley was probably one of the best dogs I've ever known. He and Simba grew to tolerate one another - their biggest problem was who got the most time with me.
Thank you so much for your warm review and shiny stars,

Good morning, Patty

Introducing a new pet, on this occasion a dog, into an established feline world will prove for an interesting few weeks as the pecking order is established. Taking Harley's POV was spot on.

Take care and stay safe,

Ray

This is a good descriptive piece about introducing a new kitten into the home. Everything is new and strange. Sometimes the pecking-order gets upset while animals decide who is top dog or cat.
